Jo and Chris's Crewe Hall Wedding Photography
I met Jo when she was one of the bridesmaids at another wedding I photographed - coincidentally the bride was also named Jo! Having seen the way I work and liked the photos from that first wedding, Jo and Chris contacted me to see if I was available to be their Crewe Hall wedding photographer.
For those of you that don't know Crewe Hall, it's a Grade 1 listed former mansion, on the outskirts of Crewe in Cheshire, that now operates as a hotel and spa.
Jo and Chris's marriage service was held at the small church of All Saints, in Weston, before they moved onto the Hall's spectacular setting for the reception.
But first, it was off to Jo's parents' house for her preparations and those of her eight bridesmaids and four flower girls!
With the make-up and hair looking perfect, and the men in their suits, it was time to head to the church - in a vintage Rolls Royce Silver Shadow, for the wedding ceremony.
With the marriage ceremony and the legal formalities completed, the newlyweds, their family and friends headed for the imposing Crewe Hall for the reception and some more wedding photography.
When it was time for the speeches, Jo's Dad had some embarrassing stories to tell, and Chris proposed a "toast" to his bride.
Speeches done, there was just time to get some more photographs in Crewe Hall and its lovely gardens.
I love the opportunity to get some romantic shots for the couple, especially in a venue like this.
And then evening fell and before the first dance, the flower girls decided to try out the dance floor (perhaps a little too close to the cake for my liking):
