Kelly and Al's Sandhole Oak Barn Wedding
Kelly and Al booked me to be their wedding photographer after we'd spoken at a wedding fair held at the Port Vale F.C stadium. While it was my first time photographing St Luke's Church in Endon, I had previously photographed a Sandhole Oak Barn wedding, which was the venue for their reception.
As usual, the first order of the day was photographing the Bride and bridesmaids' preaparations.
With the preparations complete, it was time to climb into the waiting Rolls Royce Phantom for the short journey to St Luke's.

With the wedding photographs completed at St Luke's it was time for Kelly and Al to hop into the Rolls for a luxurious ride to Sandhole Oak Barn.
Hors d'oeuvres were served on arrival by the top-notch catering team from Top Table and then it was time for more Sandhole Oak Barn wedding photography in the beautiful grounds.
Following the drinks reception and a selection of both informal and formal pictures, it was time to head inside for the wedding breakfast and speeches, which included Kelly being presented by her Dad with Sooty, Sweep and Edd the Duck puppets, and a message from the Lord Mayor of Dublin, brought over by an Irish family friend, followed by Al being presented with an unusual item of headgear.
With the day's formaliities out of the way, it was again time to relax and enjoy the outdoor space at Sandhole again, with lawn games, the odd drink and a guest appearance by Mr Softee's ice cream van - which was very popular.
The evening reception gave me lots more opportunities for indoor wedding photography at Sandhole Oak Barn, including lots of informal pictures of the happy couple and their guests having a great time.
As well as the traditional couple's first dance and Kelly's emotional dance with her Dad, there was a highly competitive round of Mr & Mrs that was won by the newlyweds, much to Kelly's delight.
And no party is complete without the immediately recognisable seated dance to The Gap Band's classic "Oops Upside Your Head"?
Finally, to end my part of the day, I dragged Kelly and Al away from their guests for one last picture outside.
