For their rustic themed wedding, Brittany and Aaron chose the character-filled Slaters Country Inn, just outside the village of Baldwin's Gate, in rural Staffordshire.

This was a very relaxed wedding, with an emphasis on fun and informality, that shows through in the photographs.

Once they'd booked me for the big day, Brittany and Aaron also arranged to do a short pre-wedding shoot with me, so they would feel more comfortable with me spending a whole day with them as their wedding photographer at Slaters.

Adding to the boho style of the wedding was Brittany's choice of transport to Slaters - a classic VW camper van - which proved spacious enough to transport the bride and bridesmaids in one journey, as well as in some style.

As an added bonus, the camper's door mirrors are very useful for doing a last check of your make-up!

With the bridal party safely delivered to Slaters, there was just time to get a picture of the groom and his best men, before everyone took their places in the wedding house for the ceremony.

The warm, spring day not only meant that the drinks reception could be held in the gardens, it also meant that I could take plenty of the wedding photographs outside, taking advantage of the pretty setting.

The wedding breakfast and evening reception drew everyone inside Slaters beautifully-decorated, beamed function room to eat, drink and be merry well into the night.
