Chris and Lynsey booked me to be their Sandhole Oak Barn wedding photographer after seeing me at a wedding fair, organised by the One Stop Wedding Shop Staffordshire, held at the Port Vale FC ground in Burslem. Although Chris and Lynsey's wedding took place just outside Congleton, there was another connection with the Potteries' "mother town" - and its football -club - in that the wedding singer they booked, Dan Budd, performs a tribute act to one of Burslem's most famous sons and renowned Port Vale supporter, Robbie Williams.

Once we'd taken advantage of Sandhole Oak Barn's picturesque setting for wedding photographs, it was time to head back inside for the wedding breakfast and of course the speeches, which had the assembled guests in fits of laughter.

After the formalities, there was time for the wedding party to relax again in Sandhole Oak Barn's pretty gardens and terraces, before the evening reception brought more opportunities for wedding photography, with the cake cutting, the first dance and everyone having fun.
