Lizzie and Rob contacted me via Facebook and asked me to photogaph their wedding at Wrenbury Hall, near Nantwich.

Tucked away in the Cheshire countryside, Wrenbury Hall is a gem of a venue that spent most of its 400 years as a family home.

The day began with the bridal party's preparations.

The couple had chosen the Oak Room at Wrenbury Hall for their wedding ceremony. The Registrars from Cheshire East Council officiated and handling organisational matters was Peter, Wrenbury Hall's very experienced resident toastmaster.

Formalities complete, it was time to head outside for some drinks, games, confetti, and of course pictures.

Then it was time for the couple and their guests to retire to Wrenbury Hall's Orangerie for the wedding breakfast and speeches, alongside some musical entertainment.

The end of the speeches signalled a break in the formalities, so most people retired to the bar, while a break in the changeable weather allowed Lizzie, Rob and I to head outside for more photos of just the two of them.

Onto the evening reception, back in the Orangerie, with a cake cutting and first dance, followed by some enthusiastic dancing by the guests, carrying on into the night as I ended my day as Lizzie and Rob's Wrenbury Hall wedding photographer.
